As we head into the second half of 2023 we are balancing a busy order book with extension work and improvements to our premises near Marlborough. These were audited by MUTA (www.muta.org.uk) in April, and once again we ranked in the top 1% in the UK: 94%. We also achieved 90% for our on-site audit: “As expected another good audit. Tom continues to drive the standards and they remain very good throughout.” Still room for improvement, but we’re working on that – Logistics Director Tom relentlessly pursues the illusive 100% score!
We have had a superb temporary crew this season, and employed some fantastic new full-time riggers. We have sent various team members on a number of driving, plant, health and safety and dedicated marquee best practice courses to bring all our tickets up to date and ensure our working systems are as safe as possible. We take the safety of everyone on our working sites very seriously. This includes installing a defibrillator at our premises, and carrying mobile defibs for our sites.
Whilst private individuals prove as ever to be the mainstay of our business, we continue to work for a range of top-flight caterers and event co-ordinators on some demanding, exciting and diverse projects. We believe that the transparency of our quoting, our ability to manage as much or as little as a client requires (including a wide array of ancillary services) and ultimately our delivery, mean that many event industry professionals continue to put their faith in us.
We are recommended marquee supplier to prestigious venues such as the now world famous Highclere Castle (AKA Downton Abbey) near Newbury, and beautiful Bowood. Please see our venues page for a selection of locations we are recommended by, and we in turn recommend if you are looking for a space for your event.
Ever conscious of complacency we always strive to improve our service, and, despite a challenging few years we have invested in more marquees and related equipment.
We can supply marquees in 2m/3m/5m/6m/8m/9m/10m/12m/15m/20m and 25m spans, and have bespoke ‘bays’ for many of our marquees, meaning we can often fit a marquee structure where others cannot. We have stunning glass balustrading, outside decking ‘cassette’ flooring, and we have also increased our stock of raised floor systems, meaning we can suspend marquee floors up to 3m off the ground without the need for scaffold sub-structures – perfect for sites with steep slopes or where the marquee needs to be suspended over the top of existing features.
We work from bespoke built warehousing & yard, with dedicated cleaning facilities, helping to keep our marquees in tip-top condition.
As our 2024 diary begins to fill we look forward to delivering beyond expectation for our clients for the remainder of 2023.
