At time of this update (June 2021) we have a date to work to – 21st June – and wait to see if this is a goer, or if we face more delay. It goes without saying we are champing at the bit, the equipment is all ready, and the team are in the starting gate.

We have been keeping busy since the first lockdown last year, building medical centre marquees, social distancing structures, hospitality structures etc – all fairly ‘low end’ compared to what we are used to, but it has kept the wolves from the door, and as such we are in a fantastic position to bolt out the gates as soon as we are able! 

Our order book for this year is looking fantastic, with many regular clients booking for repeat or new events, and many new customers entrusting us with their special occasions.  In addition many clients ‘rolled over’ their events from last year, and we would like to thank each of them for keeping the faith and entrusting us with their bookings. Many of these postponed events are lined up for late June and July, so we have everything crossed that these can finally happen. 

We have recently had our premises inspected by MUTA ( and achieved (once again) one of the highest scores in the UK: 92%. Still room for improvement, but we’re working on that! 

And we have sent all our crew on a number of driving, plant, health and safety and dedicated marquee best practice courses over the winter months to bring all our tickets up to date and ensure our working systems are as safe as possible. We take the safety of everyone on our working sites very seriously. This includes installing a defibrillator at our head office, and carrying mobile defibs for our sites. 

Whilst private individuals prove as ever to be the mainstay of our business, we continue to work for a range of top-flight caterers and event co-ordinators on some demanding, exciting and diverse projects. We believe that the transparency of our quoting, our ability to manage as much or as little as a client requires (including a wide array of ancillary services) and ultimately our delivery, mean that many event industry professionals continue to put their faith in us.

Ever conscious of complacency we always strive to improve our service, and, despite the lockdown and massive reduction in income last year we invested in more marquees and related equipment.

We can supply marquees in 2m/3m/5m/6m/9m/12m/15m/20m and 25m spans, and have bespoke ‘bays’ for many of our marquees, meaning we can often fit a marquee structure where others cannot. We have stunning glass balustrading, outside decking ‘cassette’ flooring, and we have also increased our stock of raised floor systems, meaning we can suspend marquee floors up to 3m off the ground without the need for scaffold sub-structures – perfect for sites with steep slopes or where the marquee needs to be suspended over the top of existing features.

We work from bespoke built warehousing & yard, with dedicated cleaning facilities, helping to keep our marquees in tip-top condition.

As we anticipate a bumper few years ahead we have employed more full-time marquee riggers, and we are now filling these last few weeks before 21st June dotting i’s  and crossing t’s.
