Since 1993 Covered Occasions Marquees have been providing top quality marquees and related products for private individuals, corporate clients, professional party planners and other agents within the industry.
Our top priority has remained the same since the business started: to offer unrivalled marquee and tent hire with the emphasis on quality, service and customer satisfaction.

We understand that planning any event can be challenging, so we aim to make the whole experience as simple and stress-free as possible. We offer:-
- Free, no obligation site surveys / meetings – as many as required to ensure the success of your event.
- Detailed and unambiguous quotations, that include AutoCAD layout plans where required.
- Thorough communication throughout the lead-up to your event.
- Liaison with all contractors involved in the event (caterers, bands, DJs, florists etc) to ensure they have all they need prior to and during the event.
- Event personnel during the event, to operate our equipment and ultimately for your peace of mind, leaving you free to enjoy your day.
Our planning team has more than 80 years’ experience in the marquee hire industry, so we are well placed to advise the best possible solutions, even when your requirements are challenging or out of the ordinary.

As recommended marquee suppliers to such prestigious venues as Highclere Castle (aka Downton Abbey), and preferred suppliers to a number of high-end caterers and party organisers, we guarantee a level of service and quality second to none.
Started with a handful of small tents, Covered Occasions has grown year on year to become one of the biggest marquee companies in the south of England. Despite this we have never forgotten the importance of close client contact and attention to detail: as the saying goes we are “big enough to cope but small enough to care”.
Operating from a purpose built 7 acre site just outside Marlborough in Wiltshire, with excellent access to the M4 corridor, we service events all over the UK, and further afield if our clients require…
With continual re-investment in marquee equipment, and bespoke washing facilities at our operations, we stand alone in our area for quality and range of kit.
We rise to any challenge and have a positive “can do” approach. This gives us the ability to exceed expectations and deliver the goods. As a result we have developed an enviable reputation for producing inspirational wedding, party and corporate event venues.

There is not a lot about marquees and the industry Jeremy doesn’t know. Some say he lives and breathes tents, certainly he is not shy of putting in the hours. He has an exceptionally loyal client list, who value his honesty and integrity.
When he does get some spare time, he is likely to be found on a beach somewhere trying to catch his tea.
Tom Freeston
Operations Director

Tom joined the company in 2006, and is integral to the success and smooth running of the operation. Half his time is office-based, planning and client-liaison, and half travelling between sites ensuring everything is exactly as it should be..
Tom gets little free time, but when he does he can be found working on his golf handicap.

Jamie joined Covered Occasions in 2010, with 20 years’ experience in the marquee industry. With a substantial client list that followed him, he believes in close liaison with all participants of an event, has an eye for detail and insists on a high level of delivery.
When he is not ferrying his children around the country, he enjoys a drop of fishing, or twiddling on his Gretsch.

Sharon has so many responsibilities we couldn’t list them all. Ultimately she holds the purse strings, and generally keeps her beady eyes on us all.
Electrical & Lighting Manager / Senior Site Foreman.
Our Latvian friend Aigars started as a seasonal crew member in 2007, but we liked him so much we made him stay. Like many sparkies he gets excited about anything with a plug on it, and his problem solving proves invaluable. He is also a fantastic tenter, and manages many of our sites.
Site Foreman
Martin built his first marquee in 1978, and has been in the industry ever since. As such he is a font of knowledge, and has site responsibility for many of our regular contracts and larger events.
Company Mascot
Unlike his namesake David Gilmour, this chap can’t play a mean guitar or bankroll a small country, but he is a legend. He judges no-one, and is much loved by staff, suppliers, customers and even the post lady…
